you need to disassembling the back lcd  enclosure and take the model number after go to ebay and get a lvds to hdmi for your model. See if in the kit you have all you need some time the kid don't include the lvds cable and the inverter. You may have a good 12volt power supply to run it. Some kit include the power supply.

It may be possible.  Like bad_boy_y said get the model number and hit up ebay.  I just tested the kit I received Friday with my LCD screen from my Pavillion dv9000 with a MB issue.  It is working great.  I worked with e-qstore http://www.ebay.com/usr/e-qstore .  Once they verified the model of my LCD they got things prepped for me including a new power inverter.  I also went ahead and purchased the 12V 4A power supply from them.  Now I need to figure out how I want to mount the screen to be used with my Raspberry Pi.  I'm leaning towards building some sort of portable Pi but what ever4 I build it will be by hand since the 3d printers we have at the skills center are not able to produce prints the size I will need for the 17inch screen.  The driver board kit I purchased has HDMI, DVI, VGA sound in and out.  Came with the inverter, display control and lvds cable.  For the kit and power supply it ran roughly $54.1125131329[1].jpg
