Hello Community Members and happy June.   It is officially summertime here at the element14 offices, which is enough of a reason to celebrate but as we batted around some ideas we thought - why don't we involve the Community in some fun?  We have already been asking you about your favorite tools for our RoadTest reviews and now we'd like to…

Functional Safety is the study of methods and measures to reduce risk of harm to people and equipment when machines malfunction or when their operating environment is interrupted. I'm building a SCPI device for Linux. I have the basis working over TCP/IP. This morning I received a PiFace Digital 2 from element14 (thank you!) This board, with digital inputs, outputs, relays and LEDs can be a nice LAB automation utility.   In this post I check if I can control the PiFace Digital 2 via C. TL;DR yes   In this series,… (Show more)

Hey there, I am looking for a sensor which can detect angles, and can be rotated multiple times. I need it to be able to go around in a full circle any number of times. I have looked at rotary encoders and I don't think this will work for me because they require a "homing" to be able to get an actual angle out of them and I don't want to have to… (Show more)

Hi, I'm working on a project, and one of the things I need to do is to make my phone ring, when I push a button on arduino. I'm using App Inventor, and I want that every time that I push the button, the number 5 will be sent (in bytes) from arduino, to the my App Inventor's application (and then when the application gets the number 5, it makes… (Show more)
