Hello!   I'm trying to sort out some suspected power issues with my Raspberry Pi by using a powered USB hub.   I have a couple of questions...   1. If I supply external power to the hub, does it feed back to the Raspberry Pi it's plugged into? 1b. If so, is that a bad thing? Does it interfere with the main power supply to the Pi?   The reason… (Show more)

Hello,   I'm hoping someone might have the answer to this issue I'm having with my Kitty TV Raspberry Pi.   I have the Raspberry Pi (version 2, B+) connected to an old monitor via an HDMI cable connected to an HDMI-DVI adapter to the monitor, for video only. The audio is supposed to go separately through the 3.5mm audio jack to the external… (Show more)

My Raspberry Pi 2 is having some issues. It was all working fine until I selected a large overclock in the performance preferences then rebooted. Now it boots, goes into the rainbow screen all the way past the code lines, says it's loading Plymouth boot screen then stops. SD card activity light then stops and nothing happens. Any suggestions?

What makes it special isn't an additional feature, but rather what it lacks. Most digital cameras are designed to capture images in the same spectrum of light as a normal human eye, producing realistic photos and… (Show more)

Hi all. I'm trying to build a weather pi station and I have Adafruit's Anemometer which needs 7-24 VDC to work which of course the max the Raspberry Pi does is 5 VDC.   Since my EE background isn't that great I was wondering what would be the best thing to do to power the anemometer off of the Pi in terms of Step up (or step-down) transformers… (Show more)

I'm brand new to the Rasberry Pi 3 Universe and I am trying to set up my Pi for the first time using NOOBS on a 16GB MicroSD. The box that contained the RP3 said Element14.com on it, so I figured I'd start here...   So let's begin:   Every time I try to boot up the RP3 for the first time, the system runs through a series of dialogue boxes before… (Show more)

These venerable input devices have been around longer than many of us have been alive, and it's hard to deny that they get the job done. But the Flick team are part of a larger movement that wants to expand how we control… (Show more)
