Arduino MKR adapter

Posted by bernhardmayer Jan 14, 2020
This is just a dumb adapter to use Arduino Uno compatible shields with Arduino MKR. There also exists an official MKR2UNO Adapter (https://store.arduino.cc/mkr2uno-adapter ) but I didn't like its layout so I made may own.   There are mainly two reasons for this:   Stacking of boards The MKR2UNO is layouted that the Arduino MKR sits between the adapter PCB and the Arduino Uno shield. So there is only limited space for the Arduino MKR. On my layout both boards sit on opposite side of th ...
The JECCbot mini is an Open Source Outdoor Robotics platform which can be manufactured by a regular 3D printer.     The whole project and source files and production files and description is available on github: https://github.com/generationmake/JECCbot_mini     The chassis was constructed using FreeCAD and the FreeCAD project files are also available so one can modify them. There are also step and stl files to instantly start printing The main goal is to make an easy ...
In the last couple of weeks I had a little side project: a hamradio dummy load especially for the 2 m and 70 cm hamradio bands but it should also work on higher frequencies. A dummy load (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dummy_load ) is a handy device when it comes to testing receivers. It is connected to the HF output of the transceiver and burns all the HF energy in a resistor so that no HF signal is transmitted. The dummy load is actually a high power 50 ohm resistor. You only have to take care ...
During the last months I updated my project ArduTrx which was introduced here: ArduTrx - a 2-meter-band ham radio transceiver with Arduino   New HF modules  The Chinese manufacturer NiceRF (https://www.nicerf.com/ ) produces HF modules which are pin and software compatible to the ones from Dorji. They are called SA818 (https://www.nicerf.com/product_151_104.html ), produce 1W of HF output and there exists a VHF and a UHF version just like the DRA818 modules. Additionally they also ha ...
In the last couple of weeks I strongly updated my ArduTrx Hamradio transceiver shield for Arduino (which was introduced here: ArduTrx - a 2-meter-band ham radio transceiver with Arduino ).   Open Source  First of all I decided to release it as open source. While the software was open source quite from the beginning and released under GPL v2 on a github repository (https://github.com/generationmake/ArduTrx ) I also decided to release the hardware under the CERN OHL v1.2 on my own proje ...

Now that my work on the stove assistant for the Pi Chef Design Challenge (Pi Chef Design Challenge ) has come to a good status I turned the source code of my programm for the Panasonic grid-eye sensor to open source. You can find it at github: https://github.com/generationmake/InfraPi   I am trying to make a tool which fits to several needs. I can operate only with the grid-eye sensor but also in combination with the Raspberry Pi camera und makes an image with temperature overlay. The too ...
