Ok for me this is off topic but it is something that I am meddling about with. I picked up a dead Blu-ray player with no drive, but it does have a nice RJ-45 and an internal WiFi transceiver sticking out of the back, and a neet black front panel. Now as it happens the thing also is written in Java.
THE PLAN: is to make it see my NFS mounted library, and to play them like locally mounted media.
THE ANALYSIS: I have included my configuration, see the table below. Checking around I found out that the player runs a Linux kernel 220.127.116.11 from elinux.org. I have also found an unpopulated 13 pin connector, If you notice on the lower right there is a label, covering J8, see the table below.
|NT5CB128M8CN-CG||2||DDR DRAM, 128MX8, 20ns|
|NT5CB64M16AP-CF||1||DDR DRAM, 64MX16, 20ns|
|HY27UF082G2B-TCPB||1||Flash, 2 GB, 256M x 8bit|
OK, now you see all the pretty pictures. I still need to dig around for more info on this project. See you all in part 2
