RSL10 Sensor Development Kit: (RSL10−SENSE−GEVK)
The RSL10 Sensor Development Kit is a compact and a comprehensive platform to easily develop IoT applications with leading sensor technology and the industry's lowest power Bluetooth ® Low Energy SoC. Several applications including industrial wearable, asset monitoring, smart sensing solutions can be easily developed on this platform.
The compact platform features a full range of sensors including environmental, inertial (3-axis accelerometer, 3-asix gyroscope and a low-power smart hub for motion sensing), a geomagnetic sensor, and an ambient light sensor. Example use cases and detailed documentation are provided in the CMSIS pack.
In addition to the RSL10 SiP (System−in−Package), the following sensors are present on the board these sensor are very much useful in monitoring the motion of bodies in 3D and environment.

Robotic arm monitoring Kit:
In the present project robotic arm action was monitored using the RSL10-SENSE-GEVK Sensor as on-board has a nine sensor these can be used to monitor the robotic action very precisely. The Manipulator contains In-line wrist, Arm, Link arm, Rotating column, Base frame as main parts of the robotic arm and to hold the object a special pneumatic gripper and vacuum gripper based on the application should be selected. When load is applied the manipulator it will be behaving differently the motion of the manipulator can be monitor by placing the RSL10-SENSE-GEVK Sensor board on one of its joints. In the present review I placed the sensor board on the In-line wrist because in the robotic arm this will be an important part to consider when load is applied. The figure shows the RSL10-SENSE-GEVK placed on the wrist of the arm.
The motion of the arm is monitored by using accelerometer, orientation with gyro, direction with magnetometer. Apart from monitoring the action, robotic arm should be in ambient environmental conditions, for this an Ambient temperature during operation is to be 10 °C to 55 °C (283 K to 328 K). If the conditions are below 10 °C it will be wet so that the manipulator cannot move freely due to stickiness, if it exceed 55 °C the parts get overheated so the ambient temperature conditions should be maintained to work the Robotic arm efficiently. The parameters like acceleration, direction, orientation, temperature, humidity can be monitor using RSL10-SENSE-GEVK. RSL10-SENSE-GEVK can be used to monitor different joints in different pay loads. The kit will help for the students to design the efficient robotic arms, the kit can be placed in each and every joint of the arm so as to monitor complete functionality. As the device is connected to Bluetooth wireless connectivity, it can be safe to record data away from robotic arm envelope. The device can power with coin cell so it is flexible to place at anywhere to record data, the data can also be stored in the cloud. On-board NFC is used to visualize the data when NFC Smartphone tapped on the NFC antenna without waiting for pairing.
