Well, after couple months kicking around on my bench along side several other meters, I don't find myself reaching for this meter any more than, say, my 25 year old Fluke 27. The primary reason I grab it now, is for it's capacitance meter, or extra precision. Don't get me wrong. It is a decent meter and might have slipped right into default usage, if it wasn't for the initial impression and continued annoyance with the shipped probes (too short and pointy to clip anything onto, too fat to use easily between pins). I can swap probes with my my Fluke, which came with additional clip probe tips. But, surely, there are better probe tips to send by default. There are some nice features that may win me over to make this my primary meter. I'm beginning appreciate features like the LPF...

First and foremost i shall apologise for being late. I had a bad fall and got hospitalized and when i got out could barely move for a week. And also my laptop died so i scrambled to setup a desktop in 2 weeks (Xeon L5520+EX58-UD5 if you're interested i'm on OCN) and stabilizing the desktop + undervolting the CPU took time as well as i was writing this just now and my temporary GPU suffered a sudden death and i had lost everything i was typing so i have to type all this all over again On top of that when i was planning out a review last week or so and the Bluetooth Adapter finally arrived so i was forced to replan the review Also i apologise for the bad lighting and noise i don't have my DSLR with me and also i have been fighting to get my blog up which is finally up now because my...

Hi this is my first out of the box test with the new Agilent U1273A multimeter, so first off it's get the supplied battery's fitted, very easy and simple and I noted the waterproof seal to keep everything dry in the wet. Once this was done I powered up the meter - I'll not be able to hide from the boss now as it makes a lovely phone like noise as it starts up ! It has the usual turn knob on the front with all the expected symbols so I was able to get going straight away. The meter comes with the usual meter probes and I was keen to see if my fluke clips would fit as they get used a lot in my job. Yes they fitted fine and here I measured a capacitor, one thing my old Fluke could not do. Next out of the box came a Thermocouple and adapter so on it went, a quick turn to...

Firstly I would like to thank Element14 and Agilent who gave me the opportunity to roadtest this multimeter ! The package include : - Multimeter - bluetooth module (shipped later by Agilent) - Standard test leads - test probes with 4-mm tips - K-type thermocouple - Lithium Batteries The first impression is that multimeter is well ruggedized, IP-54 needed joint on rear door for batteries... The Oled display is quite readable even outdoor in direct sunlight conditions ! I didn"t have any test with negative temperatures and condensation but it seems ready to support harsh environemental conditions. The overall size is a bit bigger than my current multimeter but its quite easy to handle. I did some tests with capacitor measurement and it seems quite accurate. I had some...

Below are some of my initial thoughts on the Agilent U1273AX throuwn together in a quick video. Yes...i know: My appartment is a terrible location to shoot the video. I'll see about improoving my video quality for my more comprehensive review in a couple of weeks. Hopefully i'll have good insightful analysis for everyone. If you have any questions you would like answered, please just ask and i'll be happy to get back to you!
