If you need help, see Projects using Pi 3 . Although this was setup with Pi 3, It was switched to Pi B+ with same hardware and adition of wireless USB and works just fine. Just note that changing MAC addres will need to re-register again with flightaware.com. Great little project and fun too. Thanks Markfor pointing this out.
Thanks for that clem57
It seems that there might be some more script tweaking yet by the developers.
Unfortunately I can't see where all the 'feeds' are to see if it's worthwhile.
We are looking at putting ADSB in many of our sites to feed into the system, but any data exported will be delayed.
No .... but I wasn't specifically looking.
I'll stick it into the memory banks and see if I can find some time next year to look at it.
I came across this the and thought it might be useful for someone.
Power supply for RPI
1 GB MicroSD card 8 GB Memory card to suit
ADS-B usb dongle
*Pi24 is compatible with all Raspberry Pi devices, including Raspberry Pi Zero.
Please note that Raspberry Pi Zero has no network port and only one USB port.
Get a USB hub with Ethernet adapter and you are good to go!
As you can see you can even use a PiZero (by adding a USB to Ethernet), so the hardware requirements are pretty low.
This might be ideal for someone who has an older unit around, and is not sure what to use it for.
