That would be a cool challenge for different age groups.
Not sure that only some age will be involved I have not yet bought Lego components just by the price (I should say re-bought as my original 80's ones with a lot of electric tools has gone out)

I have been thinking about doing something like this with the car project but have not quite got my head around the software. There's scratch blocks which is very similar to the Scratch Jr my daughter has already used https://scratch.mit.edu/developers
I suspect it's probably just a case of installing it and spending a few hours playing to see how it ticks.
