I placed an order online on Friday, and paid for a Saturday delivery. Nothing was delivered. When I called to find out what was going on, I was told that the goods were shipping from Belgium and therefore could not be delivered on Saturday. There was no indication of this when I placed the order, and the web portal happily let me pay for a Saturday delivery even though it was not possible.
I rely heavily on next-day deliveries and I used to be able to trust Farnell to deliver. It seems that I can't do that any longer. Some of Farnell's competitors still do this right, so they will be my first port of call from now on.
