Applying +12V to JP1 should behave the same as plugging the power cord into J10:
With +12V applied to JP1 you should see LED D17 turn on (green) indicating that the board is powered. You will need to press SW4 (PWR_BTN) to boot the system (make sure there is a bootable SD card inserted).
Thank you for your reply. I think your answer is useful, but not for me.
When I offered +12V to JP1, LED D17 just didn't turn on. I saw from my DC Power Supply that the current is zero.
I don't think my supply can provide enough current now.
