Hi Douglas, sorry about the delayed response! Thanks for the advice, however I am looking to design my own carrier board with my required peripherals that will simply connect with a SoM that is compatible with Windows IoT core. Do you know of anyone that would be able to assist me with this?
I don't quite understand what your definition of SOM is or what features you need on the SOM.
Here are some that run Windows IoT Core:
- Toradex Colibri T3
- KA-RO TRITON-TX8M
- KONTRON SOM SL I.MX8M MINI
Here are some SOMs that can run full Windows:
- UNERON eSOM3735z SoM
- Advantech SOM-2532
- Kontron ETX-LX2
- EMAC SOM-VDX3-ETX
- AAEON COM-KBHB6
All of these manufacturers have various other SOM products.
I am creating a IoT device and would like to use Windows IoT Core as the main OS and design a custom PCB using a SoM. According to the documentation (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/iot-core/learn-about-hardware/socsandcustomboards ) there are a number of hardware requirements for Windows to run smoothly. Does anyone have any SoMs (Raspberry Pi or other) that they have tested/know is compatible with this OS? From first glance it appears that the Raspberry Pi Computer Module 4 is not compatible. Any documentation or help would be greatly appreciated!
