Sorry, hit the Post button prematurely.
I meant to ask: Is there a way I can transfer a file into the MiniZed FPGA board other than buying a Pmod SD with Full Sized SD Card Slot.
You can put files on a USB memory device that plugs into MiniZed or on the eMMC memory on MiniZed itself.
The document "Restoring MiniZed to the Factory State" can be found under the heading "Restore QSPI and eMMC Factory Images" on the E14 MiniZed page on the "Technical Documents" tab. This document describes how to use the USB storage and is generally a useful tutorial.
You can also use Wi-Fi to transfer files to/from the USB memory and the eMMC. You can use a program like WinSCP to do this. Examples and a tutorial are given in a few documents, like the MiniZed OTA programming demo. Or in this older document about a Python Web Server: https://avtinc.sharepoint.com/:f:/t/ET-Downloads/Egz0l6NDPxxEhgp8uRS0Y00B56wdtNfgWZ1TjaRDD-8Y7w?e=CzQGgK
Hi Stefan, Thanks for the reply.
Sorry, I may not be clear. I did plug in a USB thumb drive into MiniZed's USB Type A port, but I would not find my files in the USB thumb drive when I looked at directory root@MiniZed:/mnt/usb on the board.
I also had a hard time to locate the document "Restoring MiniZed to the Factory State", would you please reply with a link?
Please look on this page for Restore QSPI and eMMC Factory Images
Hopefully your thumb drive is formatted correctly and mounted correctly. Hopefully the document above helps you. Some USB drives are also not supported, it seems, so you could try a different device.
I'm USB Type A port on a MiniZed single-core Zynq 7Z007S development board, I can't access it neither from the Petalinux application prompt nor from an uboot prompt.
I need the the USB Type A port being accessible/enabled for the purpose of transferring a Vxworks OS from our PC to the FPGA board.
