Farnell element14 announces success for onecall as it is named preferred supplier for the Higher Education Sector

onecall is entering its 14th year working with the Higher Education Sector as preferred supplier

onecall, Farnell element14’s dedicated distribution service for higher education and research councils, has been named preferred supplier for electronic components and electrical products by NUWPEC (National Universities’ Working Party on Electronic Components) in a recent OJEU tender.

onecall presents the higher education sector with a ‘one-stop-shop’ for Farnell element14 and CPC product ranges. Providing efficient access to 560,000 products in stock for next day delivery, 195,000 products from new extended ranges, committed sales and support teams and a dedicated onecall web site providing detailed technical libraries and rapid search facilities. In addition, onecall’s new online purchasing management system, iBuy, provides complete cost control, reduced administration time and total visibility of spend for users enabling further efficiencies to be achieved.

onecall’s proven track record in delivering a market leading service that meets the needs of procurement professionals is underpinned by a focus on the customer and their changing needs, working in partnership with NUWPEC.

onecall was awarded the framework agreement for all four lots of the tender, reference MAI 3104 NW for the Supply of Electronic Components and Associated Products, Service Kits, Tools, Fixings, Test & Measurement Equipment and Batteries:

Lot 1 - Supply and Delivery of Electronic Components, Associated Products & Service Kits

Lot 2 – Supply and Delivery of Tools & Fixings

Lot 3 – Supply and Delivery of Test & Measurement Equipment

Lot 4 – Supply and Delivery of Batteries

This success means that onecall is entering its 14th year working with NUWPEC.

NUWPEC (National Universities’ Working Party on Electronic Components) awarded a top supplier rating to onecall for pricing, technical support via its new Live Technical Chat service and its innovative approach to Corporate Social Responsibility.
