Farnell element14 introduces WellerFT Zero-Smog 2 System for Fume Extraction

Farnell element14 has introduced a new product for fume extraction in its extensive test and tools range.  The Zero-Smog System 2 from WellerFT is specifically designed for continuous operation in industrial environments.

The Zero-Smog 2 System is easy to install and operate.  It is designed as a small economical central system for two workplaces.  As a volume extraction system, it enables large areas to be covered and is low maintenance, with quick and easy filter replacement.

In many workplace environments where soldering and adhesive application occurs there can be significant health hazards from breathable fine dust particles. In many countries, legislation governing clean air in the work place requires that hazardous substances are removed from the air in order to avoid harmful effects on people and machines.

Available with next day delivery the WellerFT Zero-Smog 2 Systems have a three-stage filter system for removing small particles, fumes and gases that are produced in different working processes. The hazardous substances are efficiently captured by the nozzle and are absorbed into the filter. Bigger particles get caught in the pre-filter and smaller particles get caught in the HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filter.

The wide band gas filter removes fumes and adhesives. The end product – clean air – is then recirculated into the workplace.  The large EPA E12 filter surface is 2.4m2 for long filter lifetime.  The main filter with EPA E12 efficiency of 99,5 % at MPPS and activated carbon filter to remove additional gaseous pollutants.

The Weller Zero Smog 2 System adds to the comprehensive workbench solutions Weller in conjunction with Farnell can offer.  These include soldering and rework stations as well as the relevant consumable (tips, solder wire, flux), heating plates, cutters, pliers, tweezers and inspection tools.
