Farnell recognised as Innovator of the Year for 2019 by Design & Elektronik
Farnell, the Development Distributor, has been awarded ‘Innovator of the Year’ by Design & Elektronik for 2019. The award was given for the launch of Farnell’s Connector e-Guide; an online reference tool providing detailed information on all connectors from leading brands, enabling customers to quickly and easily identify the parts they require for all their interconnect needs.
The tool uses large visuals to clearly display and categorise connectors in a single online hub, making it an invaluable tool for engineers who need to find and replace an application’s damaged connector without knowing the part number to identify it. The e-Guide’s intuitive interface displays associated products and accessories, such as cable and wire, crimp tools and other installation aids and reduces research time so engineers can easily select the most suitable connectivity solution for their designs.
The award was voted for by Design & Elektronik readers.

Competing in the ‘Embedded’ category, Farnell received a Silver Medal in the Product Availability criteria and a Bronze Medal in the Delivery Service criteria. The award winners were chosen by 2,500 participants in an online vote.
