Newark element14 has introduced the U1280 Series of Handheld Digital Multimeters from Keysight Technologies to deliver accurate measurements and logging capabilities to electrical engineers troubleshooting electronic circuits.

With 60,000-count dual display resolution and 0.025 percent basic DCV accuracy, the U1280 series handheld DMMs provide precise measurements to users. The U1280 series is certified to IP67 and armed with robust overmold enclosures that allow users to carry out tests and measurements in any condition, including water immersion, and withstand a 10-feet drop. Farnell element14 is launching Keysight Technologies latest version of its BenchVue software, a PC software application that provides multiple instrument measurement visibility and data capture, eliminating the need for instrument programming facilitating rapid prototyping.

This launch comes shortly after Farnell element14 expanded its proposition to include software tools and the industry’s first instant e-delivery capability for customer software purchases. element14 has introduced the Keysight U5850 Series TrueIR thermal imagers which provide clear and sharp thermal images with its unique 4x fine resolution capability, enabling 320x240 pixels at the cost of a 160x120 pixels device.

Two new models in the range, the U5856A and U5857A, can perform temperature measurements up to 650°C and 1200°C respectively. 

This enables a wide temperature range for a variety of applications such as petrochemical or steel processing, electrical and mechanical applications, building maintenance and even electronics applications.

As the trend in industrial settings has moved towards predictive maintenance, the U5850 series allows technicians and engineers to efficiently and safely detect abnormalities without shutting down the system. The manual focus feature also allows users to focus on an object as close as 10 cm away so that problems such as small cracks in industrial pipelines can be detected even faster.

This combination of features enables more in-camera measurements and diagnostic checks, with 0.07 °C sensitivity. Each model is also compact, lightweight, and ergonomic with an easy-to-use customisable colour palette and configurable quick access buttons to easily change settings with one hand.

Premier Farnell has announced the addition of the Keysight 34465A and 34470A to its TrueVolt range of Bench Digital Multimeters.  The multimeters open up a full range of measurement possibilities with unmatched levels of accuracy, speed and resolution in both 6½ and 7½ digit models.

These new models give engineers a selection of visual representations of measurement data in multiple ways on a 4.3-inch, high-resolution color display, including advanced graphical capabilities such as trend and histogram charts, allowing engineers to get relevant information faster and document their results more easily.
