<p>The Massive Electro-Pyrotechnic Initiator Chip (MEPIC) resistor in 0805 SMD case size has very predictable, reproducible and reliable behaviour and meets USCAR and AKLV16. &nbsp;MEPIC can be adapted for use with various pyrotechnic materials for applications such as mining electronic detonators (digital blasting), fireworks, electric matches and civil detonators for demolition.</p>

<p>IHLE-4040DC-5A is the only e-field shielded IHLP<sup>&reg;</sup> power inductor on the market. &nbsp;It reduces e-field up to 20 dB at 1cm and eliminates the need for costly, bulky Faraday shields. Applications include DC/DC converter circuits near noise-sensitive components, automotive control circuitry, computer and other high-current, noisy power supplies.</p>

<p>MMA 0204 HV and MMB 0207 are high-voltage MELF resistors with 500V and 1000V voltage ratings. The resistors have high-operating voltage up to 1 kV with high-voltage SMD metal film resistors. Applications and market segments include lighting industrial inverters and electrical vehicles.</p>

<p>Farnell element14 is launching the <a href="http://uk.farnell.com/vishay-126hvc-capacitors">Vishay hybrid storage 196 HVC ENYCAP&trade; capacitors</a> which are portable, compact and facilitate high-energy storage.</p>

<p>Priced from &pound;13.39 with price breaks for higher volumes the capacitors have the industry&rsquo;s highest energy density (13 Ws/g) as well as polarised storage capacitor with high capacitance (up to 90 F).</p>

<p>Ideal as a storage device for energy harvesting, the capacitors are an alternative to rechargeable backup batteries as they can hold 70% of their charge for as long as a month.</p>

<p>They support voltages ranging from 1.4V (single cell) to 2.8V / 4.2V / 5.6V / 7.0V / 8.4V (multiple cells) and are available as stacked through-hole (STH, radial), surface mount flat (SMF) and lay-flat configurations (LPC) with wire and connectors.</p>

<p>Their low profile (2.5 mm) means they are the right size for portable and compact designs.</p>

<p>Farnell element14 has launched the <a href="http://uk.farnell.com/vishay-aecq200-through-hole-inductors">Vishay range of IHTH high-current, high-temperature, through-hole inductors</a> including the AEC-Q200-qualified IHTH-0750IZ-5A and IHTH-1125KZ-5A.</p>

<p>These feature an operating temperature range from -55 &deg;C to +155 &deg;C, high rated currents up to 125 A, and a wide range of inductance values from 0.47 &micro;H to 100 &micro;H. They are available in 0750 and 1125 sizes.</p>

<p>With a frequency range up to 10 MHz for some values, the devices are ideal for voltage regulator modules (VRM) and DC/DC converters.</p>

<p>The IHTH-0750IZ-5A and IHTH-1125KZ-5A are designed for a variety of high-temperature automotive applications, including engine and transmission control units, diesel injection drivers, LED drivers, HID lighting, and noise suppression for motors in windshield wipers, power seats and mirrors, and heating and ventilation blowers.</p>

<p>These inductors handle high transient current spikes without hard saturation and are packaged in an RoHS-compliant, 100 % lead (Pb)-free shielded, composite construction that reduces buzz noise to ultra-low levels.</p>

<p>The IHTH-0750IZ-5A and IHTH-1125KZ-5A offer high resistance to thermal shock, moisture, mechanical shock and vibration. They are halogen-free and conform to Vishay &ldquo;Green&rdquo; standards.</p>
