element14.com, the online community for engineers, has launched a new competition that tasks members with building and blogging a Halloween-themed electronic project for the chance to win a powerful Creality CR-10S 3D printer.

The competition, entitled ‘Share The Scare’, requires members to share a new or existing Halloween-themed project on the element14 community. Entrants are encouraged to utilise any of the technology frequently featured on the element14 community, including Raspberry Pi, micro:bit, Arduino and BeagleBoard.

The closing date for submissions is 3rd November 2018, when a winner will be selected by the element14 community team, based on the level of skill and imagination demonstrated by the successful project entry.

Dianne Kibbey, Global Head of Community and Social Media for the element14 community and Premier Farnell, said: “As the world’s leading online community for engineers and makers, element14 hosts a wide variety of incredibly creative and innovative projects. Our Halloween competition is an excellent opportunity to showcase that creativity.

We look forward to seeing some exciting and suitably spooky project ideas that reflect the full breadth of our community – from our most established contributors to new members, incorporating all the devices and technologies we feature every day.”
