element14, an Avnet Community, along with Multicomp Pro, is hosting a virtual Ask Me Anything with Will Bales of Team HyperShock from the hit robot combat television series, BattleBots, on April 12th from 5:30 to 6:30 pm Central Time.

This exclusive AMA session provides a unique opportunity for participants to gain insights into the intricate electronics powering a Battlebot – from the motor choices and electronic remote controls to the design considerations for emergency repairs. HyperShock, Team Captain, Will Bales will share his insights on the process of designing and building a robot for Battlebots, as well as provide behind-the-scenes stories from the show.

Team HyperShock, known for its wild driving and devastating weapons, is one of the most popular robots on Battlebots and has been a fan favorite for years. Team HyperShock had an exciting Season 6 where they earned themselves the award for the Most Destructive Robot, making them one of the most awarded teams. HyperShock also holds the record for the fastest KO, throwing Skorpios out of the arena in just 24 seconds.

"We are very excited to have Will Bales of Team HyperShock join us for this exclusive Ask Me Anything session," said Dianne Kibbey, Global Head of Community and Social Media for element14. "With his extensive knowledge and experience in the field of robot building and combat, we believe that this AMA session will be highly informative and engaging for our community.

The Ask Me Anything session will be hosted on the element14 Community website, where members can submit their questions and join the conversation. This is a unique opportunity for engineers to learn from one of the top robot builders and gain insights into the fascinating world of robot combat.

Additionally, attendees who ask the best questions will have a chance to win free Team HyperShock merchandise, including beanie hats and stickers, as well as an MP740686 from Multicomp Pro which is a 65W economical soldering station with LCD display screen making for easy control and visualization.

To join the AMA, interested participants must create an element14 Community account – signing up is free, fast and easy. The element14 Community is a great resource for anyone interested in getting started or looking to expand their knowledge in electronics and robotics. Members can share and join in on the discussion and conversation about topics, technologies, products and events, or simply what's going on at the moment with fellow engineers, developers and makers.
