Products featured on the stand include:

  • The BBC micro:bit: adopted in countries across the globe as a tool to teach coding

  • Raspberry Pi IoT Learner Kit: developed in collaboration with IBM, the Raspberry Pi IoT Learner kit provides an end-to-end learning solution for makers, hardware and software developers and students looking to get started with IoT development. Built around the Raspberry Pi 3 and Raspberry Pi sense hat, the kit can be used in conjunction with IBM’s Coursera course: “A Developer’s Guide to Internet of Things (IoT)” to learn the skills required for IoT development, create projects and bring innovative projects into commercial application.

  • Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ and Matrix Creator: The Raspberry Pi Model B+ was launched 14 March 2018, perfecting the previous board for use in the professional market including dual band wireless with modular compliance, PoE enabled (through a separate PoE hat), improved thermal management and faster Ethernet. On stand, visitors will be able to see an “Amazon Alexa” demo, utilizing the MATRIX Creator IoT development board and Raspberry Pi. The Matrix Creator is a fully-featured development board, including sensors, wireless communications, and an FPGA givin users a complete, affordable, and user-friendly tool for simple to complex Internet of Things (IoT) app creation.

  • Preview of the element14 SimpleLink™ sub-1 GHz sensor-to-Cloud Linux Industrial Gateway development kit, exclusive to Farnell element14. The kit provides an end-to-end tool to enable a sub-1 GHz sensor network with an IoT gateway and cloud connectivity, allowing developers to get to market faster with an out-of-the-box, end-to-end solution enabling an easy cloud connection for sending and receiving long-range sensor data while maintaining a robust link.

Visitors can see how the Raspberry Pi is used as an embedded product in professional design with French start-up Airnodes, which has developed a smart mirror based on a Raspberry Pi and targeted at the luxury hotel market.
